Graduating and continuing students from the CalArts School of Theater’s programs in Design and Production will present their portfolios to visitors and industry recruiters alike on Monday (May 16) from noon to 6 pm in the Main Gallery and the Modular Theater Lobby.

The 2011 Design and Production Portfolio Review will feature the work of students in programs that aren’t generally center stage: scene, costume, lighting and sound design as well as video for performances, puppetry, technical direction, producing, and stage and production management.

Last year’s Review attracted industry professionals from LA, New York and Chicago and company representatives from Center Theater Group, Thinkwell, Walt Disney Imagineering and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

We’ve posted a few photos from several of this year’s School of Theater productions to provide a sense of the artistry behind the scenes.
