Experimental animation faculty Maureen Selwood once again offered her Drawing Propositions class this past Spring semester, and again, it attracted an eclectic mix of students with a passion for developing ideas through drawing, each in his or her own individual style.
Selwood likens this process to writing and editing, because her assignments and the students’ solutions are all based on concept rather than drawing techniques. The class produced another dynamic and interesting final show, The Cover Invites Exposure, which was exhibited May 13 – May 19 in the C113 Gallery at CalArts. Each student’s work is represented in the gallery posted above.
