Caine’s Arcade 2: The Global Cardboard Challenge and Imagination Foundation

Caine’s Arcade—the little film about a boy’s cardboard arcade built in the back of his father’s used auto parts store in East LA—became an Internet and then an international sensation.

Directed by CalArts alumnus Nirvan Mullick (Film/Video MFA 01), the film has been watched more than 3.5 million times since its April release, leading to the creation of a scholarship fund for Caine and the eventual launch of the Caine’s Arcade Imagination Foundation to “find, foster and fund creativity and entrepreneurship” in innovative kids around the world.

Mullick has created a sequel, Caine’s Arcade 2: The Global Cardboard Challenge & Imagination Foundation, picking up where the first left off and showing how one little boy reached so many others through his imagination.

Watch the video, above, and get ready for the Imagination Foundation’s Global Day of Play on Oct. 6.
