Kevin K.O. Olusola, a member of the vocal quintet Pentatonix (winners of season 3 of NBC’s The Sing-Off), released a music video last week that covered pop queen Demi Lovato’s song, “Heart Attack.”
Arranged for cello, piano and a string quartet, the video posted above, features three CalArts alumni string players—Alessandra Barrett (Music BFA 12), Mona Tian (Music BFA 13) and Andy Studer (Music BFA 12) accompanying Olusola while he “celloboxes”—beatboxing while playing the cello.
