TAG Gallery at Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica presents the 2014 California Open Exhibition, an annual juried art competition.
This year’s juror is artist and Chouinard alumnus
Laddie John Dill (BFA 68), who also curates the exhibit, selecting 53 artworks from almost 2,000 entries. “I felt I had to find a criteria in which to set up boundaries, so that I could make intelligent choices that were relevant to each individual work. Not an easy task,” he says in a press release.
The nationwide competition recognizes excellence in a diverse range of styles and media. Above is a gallery of selected works from the show.
