One of the world’s premiere animation festivals, Annecy International Film Festival, will take place from June 11-16 in Annecy, France. Five films by CalArts’ alumni are included in this year’s competition.

D’Augustino’s latest short film Blind Mice is a story of a con within a con.

Lucas Durkheim (former exchange student in Character Animation) – Hors Saison (with co-directors Nicolas Capitaine, Céline Desoutter, Leni Marotte)

The short film’s plot is centered around tired park ranger Jude who struggles to find her place on her team. Her determination to prove herself leads to a place where she’ll end up lonelier than ever.

The film depicts a Chinese woman’s experience as a live figure model while living abroad.

The story of a man that remembers growing up with an annoying little sister in 1990s China. What would his life be like had things gone differently?

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival was established in 1960. Initially scheduled every two years, the festival became an annual event in 1998.
