Last Saturday night (Nov. 14) CalArts’ Alumni Association honored several individuals who have made significant contributions to the lives of CalArts alumni and the greater arts community at the Institute’s annual Founders Ball.
As we noted in an earlier post, the honorees were: John Bergamo, former faculty in the Herb Alpert School of Music; Cristyne Lawson, former Dean of The Sharon Disney Lund School of Dance; Betzy Bromberg (Film/Video MFA 80), Director of CalArts’ Program in Film and Video; Leo Hobaica, Assistant Dean of CalArts’ School of Film/Video; and V. Shannon Clyne, CalArts Trustee Emeritus.
In one of the evening more moving moments, current CalArts students in the World Percussion Ensemble and faculty member Amy Knoles (Music BFA 82), played the Bergamo piece “Piru Bole” during the program.
We’ve included a slideshow above of the evening’s honorees and their guests at the at the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater (REDCAT). Congratulations again to all!
