Diversity is one of CalArts’ core values, and last week the Institute celebrated Trans Awareness Week with a series of speakers, film screenings and performances, including a noontime concert in the Main Gallery by Breanna Sinclaire, a BFA 4 Music student, and guest artist Our Lady J. We’ve posted an excerpt from the concert below.
Organizers hoped that the week helped build a greater understanding of the transgender community and foster alliances and dialog among transgender and non-transgender students, faculty and staff.
