The CalArts Eye, the monthly, multi-métier CalArts student publication, recently released its third issue. The uncensored newspaper that launched in February, features the work of student staff writers and contributors from all six of the Institute’s schools, coordinated by Lianna Kissinger-Virizlay, an MFA candidate in CalArts’ Writing Program.
In conjunction with the latest edition, the newspaper has announced the launch of an online version of the publication.
The web version includes most of the content of the print paper, except for the ClassifEyeds and Missed Connections sections which only appear in the print edition for privacy reasons. In addition to the May issue, the February and April issues are also available on the site.
The publication returns with new issues in the fall and is open to contributions from students, faculty and staff. Check the site early next semester to find out deadlines for the Fall 2012 issue, or email submissions, including Missed Connections, Overheards, ClassifEyeds, or questions for the BabyTumorFace advice column to calarts.eye@gmail.com or tweet them @calartseye.
