Paul Brach Lecture Series Welcomes Artists Pradeep Dalal and Joshua Lutz

Tonight (Nov. 15), the Paul Brach Visiting Artist Lecture Series welcomes two artists to campus: Pradeep Datal and Joshua Lutz. Both are photographers and educators based in NYC interested in issues such as family structure, the archive, representation and how these subjects relate to photography practice. The conversation begins at 6 pm in F200.

Both Lutz and Dalal are on the faculty at the International Center of Photography and the Bard College MFA Program. Mumbai-born Dalal directs the Creative Capital/Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant Program. His work has appeared in Blind Spot 43 and he is a recipient of the Tierney Fellowship.

Lutz’s work “blends family archives, interviews, and letters with his own photographic practice into a precious, fictitious experience of a life and family consumed by mental illness.” He was recently interviewed by NPR’s The Story about his latest book, Hesitating Beauty.
