The second installment of the week-long Radar L.A. theater festival in downtown Los Angeles concluded on Tuesday (Oct.1). The 18 productions, which activated three historic theaters in the Broadway Theatre District and even extended to beach-side Malibu, drew crowds of theatergoers and a myriad of praise.

Charles McNulty of The Los Angeles Times noted that Radar L.A. “created a significant cultural event… allowing us to better appreciate the breathtaking scope of this unorthodox theater town,” adding, “few cities in the world could rival the breadth, depth and, yes, audacity of performance offerings marching through town.”

Above is a slideshow of photos from selected festival performances.
