Tomorrow (Dec. 3), CalArts School of Film/Video’s Explorations in Stereoscopic Imaging class, led by faculty Michael Scroggins, hosts an end-of-semester presentation of work in the Black and White Studio (Gallery A404). Titled LOCI, the show features three-dimensional imagery created by the students in short video pieces, installations, paintings and interactive performances.
The event is a culmination of the class’s semester-long exploration of stereoscopy, a technique for creating the illusion of depth in an image using multiple methods, including placing offset images separately to the left and right eye of the viewer.
