The works of both BFA and MFA students from The Sharon Disney Lund School of Dance take the spotlight for the 2016 Open House Dance Concert on Thursday and Friday (Feb. 11 and 12) in the Lund Theater on campus.
Several dance faculty members (Sevim Abaza, Laurence Blake, Julie Bour, Colin Connor and Andre Tyson) served as the curatorial committee, selecting the following pieces for the concert:
- Nuri Baylerian (BFA 17): Black Noise
- Lilia Deering (BFA 19): Ambiguous Flint
- Paola Escobar (MFA 17): Two Way Road
- Paige O’Mara (BFA 19): Wax
- Jodi Porter (MFA 17): Terrestre Vita
- Lex Shimko (BFA 16): Amami
- Ashlee Williams (BFA 16): ParLay
The weekend’s concert opens the dance school’s series of public events at CalArts.
