March Forth! Honors Women’s History Month

Los Angeles’ Skirball Cultural Center presents March Forth!, a night of spoken word and music honoring Women’s History Month on March 4.

The all-female lineup features Denice Frohman, the  2013 Women of the World Poetry Slam Champion; HBO’s Def Poetry Jam‘s Gina Loring; host of Speakeasy/Open Mic Night at The Last Bookstore Arianna “Lady” Basco; and Rhiannon McGavin, Marquesha Babers and Maia Mayor of the Get Lit Players. The program also features CalArts alumna Arielle Deem (Music BFA 14), who leads the Arielle Deem Band in a jazzy neo-soul set.

From the program notes:

As forces for social change, conduits for health awareness, advocates for access to education and employment equality, and much more, women continue to pave the way towards the advancement of future generations. Honor their efforts during this special night!

March Forth! is produced by alumna Elena Muslar (Theater MFA 14).
