2018 MFA Post-Graduate Art Opening at The Box Gallery

Tomorrow night (Friday, June 1), the CalArts 2018 post-graduate exhibition, Rattlesnake Bells in the Desert, opens at The Box gallery in Downtown Los Angeles. The show, which runs through June 13, is curated by Daniela Lieja Quintanar of Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions.

Rattlesnake Bells In The Desert is an exhibition that features work by 32 artists, all recent graduates of CalArts, whose practices use an extensive range of media and explore a vast variety of topics… As successive generations of faculty and alumni have helped challenge the idea of an artist as well as shape the landscape of contemporary arts, the Institute encompasses a vibrant, eclectic community with global reach, inviting experimentation, independent inquiry, and active collaboration and exchange among artists, artistic disciplines and cultural traditions.

The exhibition features work by Alan S. Tofighi, Alexandre Saden, Alexandra de Leon, Annie Render, Aydinaneth Ortiz, Babsi Loisch, Beth Fiedorek, brd, Carolina Fandino, Carolina Hicks, Coffee Kang, Denae Howard, Don Tinling, Ekta Aggarwal, Elizabeth Preger, Elizabeth Smith, Gabby Rosenberg, Gwenmarie White, Hande Sever, Hannah Varamini, Jessie Wright, Jinal Sangoi, Jinseok Choi, Luka Fisher, Luna Galassini, Max Syron, Roy Martinez, Sarah Naim, Shelby Poor, Sydney Mills, Vickie Aravindhan and Wesley Hicks.
