On Thursday, Jan. 28, the LA STAGE Alliance announced nominees for the 31st Annual LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards. Among the 174 individual artists evaluated for the 2019-20 season are alumni and faculty from the School of Theater.
Established in 1989, the Ovation Awards are awarded annually to recognize excellence in the theatrical communities throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. CalArtians nominated for this year’s Ovation Awards include:

Other nominated plays feature CalArtian talent as well. Tim Alderson’s thrice-nominated Salvage was directed by School of Theater faculty Damian D. Lewis, and Pasadena Playhouse’s seven-time nominated production of Little Shop of Horrors features School of Theater staff Paul Turbiak (Theater MFA 08).
