With so much creativity bubbling up at CalArts toward the end semester, many students need a testing ground to try out their new ideas.
Composers and musicians from The Herb Alpert School of Music at CalArts recently presented 15 new pieces and works-in-progress at the latest installment of the student-curated Sounding Out concert series that was held in CalArts’ Main Gallery on Nov. 23.
The late-night concert, which started at 10 pm, featured a wide variety of new music, ranging from jazz to low-frequency droning to pop songs to choreographed dance music.
