Last week, LACMA’s Unframed blog posted this short film about artist, Chouinard alum (59) and former CalArts teacher John Baldessari. Narrated by musician Tom Waits, the film was originally screened at the museum’s first Art + Film Gala last fall, which honored Baldessari and actor-director Clint Eastwood.
Created by filmmakers Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, aka Supermarché, the film gives viewers a brief history of Baldessari as well as information that you thought you’d never have (like his Wi-Fi password). Some of the photos in the video were provided by the CalArts Library and Archive.
