EROC Founders Talk Title IX, Campus Activism

On Thursday (Jan. 15), Annie Clark and Andrea Pino, founders of End Rape on Campus (EROC), an advocacy group for sexual assault survivors, lead a conversation about Title IX and campus activism at CalArts. Feminist, filmmaker and founder of arts organization Clockshop Julia Meltzer co-hosts the conversation, contextualizing campus rape within an intergenerational framework.

The co-founders will speak with CalArts students, staff, faculty and other guests about Title IX, lesser known laws such at Title II or the American Disabilities Act and Title IV (a law pertaining to federal student aid), campus activism and strategies, resources for faculty, and media misinformation around rape.

EROC has given presentations on college campuses around the United States, including Harvard University, Stanford University, Pomona College, the University of Michigan and many others.

The talk is part of an ongoing conversation on the CalArts campus about sexual violence, and is presented by CalArts Provost’s Office of Equity & Diversity and Clockshop.
