Panel Discusses Abstraction and the Everyday in Latin American Art at REDCAT

Tomorrow (Nov. 17), distinguished artists gather at the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater (REDCAT) in downtown Los Angeles for Abstraction and the Everyday in Latin American Art, a discussion about Contemporary Abstraction and its relevance across cultures, focusing in particular on Latin America. The event is part of a series titled Abstraction in Action.

Latin-American artists Emilio Chapela, Rubén Ortiz-Torres and Mariángeles Soto-Díaz are joined by REDCAT gallery director and curator Ruth Estévez for a panel discussion moderated by SPACE Art Collection chief curator Cecilia Fajardo-Hill.

Abstraction in Action is a broad and dynamic platform dedicated to the promotion and research of contemporary abstract art from Latin America. It hosts discussions, exhibitions and supports art research.
