Friday Night Filmmobile Series: A Salute To Sennett

The Echo Park Film Center (EPFC), an LA-based nonprofit media arts organization, continues its 2012 Filmmobile Summer Screening Series: A Salute To Sennett tonight at 8 pm in Echo Park.

The series coincides with the 100th anniversary of Mack Sennett’s founding of Keystone Studios in the Edendale section of Los Angeles. Sennett, known as the King of Comedy in his lifetime, is often credited for bringing slapstick comedy to the big screen.

EPFC’s theater on wheels projects an evening of Sennett’s silents with guest Echo Park historian Rory Mitchell and live musical accompaniment by CalArts alumni Cosmo Segurson (Film/Video and Theater BFA 96) and Scooter Chamness (Art BFA 96). For exact location of the screening, please follow EPFC on Twitter (@EPFCmobile) or call 213.484.8846.
