CalArts Dance Students Participate in Mock Auditions at Disneyland

Last Tuesday (Jan. 21), 14 BFA-4 student dancers from The Sharon Disney Lund School of Dance at CalArts participated in a mock audition and workshop with Walt Disney Creative Entertainment choreographers and directors. The annual event, which is usually held at CalArts, instead took place in Rehearsal Hall at Disneyland for the first time.

The event included a master class with choreographer David Underwood and a mock audition with feedback provided by a panel that included Underwood, Manager of Creative Talent Development Michelle Baron and casting director Michael Serna. The students also spent free time in the afternoon enjoying Disneyland before participating in another class, Acting for Dancers.

Participating BFA-4 dance students were: Erin O’Brien, Phillip Rush, Rebecca Gual, Sarah Cook, Caitlin Adams, Alexis Saenz, Patrice Roth, Stephen Patterson, Jade Johnston, Prince Spicer, Chelsea Conwright, Wesley Ensminger, Laura Berg and KC Stewart.
