On Saturday, July 18, Los Angeles-based internet radio station dublab is presenting Instrumental, a concert-length composition by CalArts alum Coleman Zurkowski (Music MFA 14). The program airs on dublab’s website at 6 pm PDT.
Inspired by Gregorian chant, Instrumental is a contemporary, meditative piece composed for pipe organ, cello, viola, clarinet, flute, and two vocalists. Zurkowski went on tour last year, performing in churches across the US.
dublab is a nonprofit radio station with diverse programming, which includes next-wave music, art exhibits, films, and educational programs related to health, youth, development, and creative processes.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow to hear Zurkowski’s presentation of Instrumental, made exclusively for dublab.
